Confidence building measures in the Tetovo
area

After several months of military conflicts in
the northwest part of the country, the first contacts between people of
different ethnicity began. Such example has been the meeting hold on 26.09.2001
in the village of Neprosteno under patronage of the Council of Municipality
of Tearce, where representatives of Macedonian and Albanian communities
discussed about creating together basic conditions for the return of the
banished inhabitants, their security and future cohabitation in the village.
They agreed to work together on the return of the three kidnapped persons
from Neprosteno and distanced of all possible individual or group incidents
and crime.
