School year in Matejce started

Skopje, November 7th

The Macedonian Center for International Cooperation besides distribution of construction material for repair of 172 houses from first category in Matejce, has managed to rehabilitate six classrooms of "Kultura" Primary School for the beginning of the new school year.

The course symbolically started on November 5, while the next day (November 6) the students returned to their school desks. Prior to entering the school, a demining expert held brief lecture about land-mine danger. However, there are 940 students in the school (ethnic Albanians), and the kindergarten will start soon. Before the crisis, there were 12 students, ethnic Macedonians also. The course will be conducted in three shifts, but because of power supply shortage, the classes will be shorter.
